At EDITD, we do a full colour analysis of every show during fashion week and we’ve used this data to generate charts comparing the usage of colour in New York and London. The bigger the representation on our chart, the bigger the colour trend will be for SS12.

Both cities agreed on the importance of oranges and tomato reds for the SS12 season, as reflected by Cynthia Rowley in NY and Amanda Wakeley in London. Whilst designers in New York backed greys in muted tones to carry off their typically polished looks, London turned up the lights with their brighter takes and summery pastels.
