On Sunday, I was honoured to be recognised as one of the five disruptors who are shaping retail’s future, by the NRF Foundation.
It’s humbling to be named as one of the 25 members of “The List“, but I can’t take credit alone – without the efforts and skill of our entire team, EDITD would still just be an idea, rather than the growing, thriving company that we are today. So thank you to the NRF, and the judges, but most of all, thank you to my team!
I couldn’t be at the gala held at Pier Sixty in New York City, but one of my team was able to make it, and kindly receive the award for me. She told me that it was attended by hundreds of retail’s top CEOs and industry insiders, and it was a benchmark evening.
2014 was a great year for us, and this great start to 2015 is an exciting way to kick off the year!

“The List is about recognizing the power players, disruptors, givers, influencers and dreamers who are changing the face of retail – many doing so behind the scenes,” said NRF Senior Vice President and Foundation Executive Director Ellen Davis. “Unlike in any other industry, people interact with retail every single day, and these 25 individuals are making today’s innovative, customer-centric and unique shopping experiences possible, collectively making up one of the most impressive groups of professionals in retail.” Following a thorough selection process, Julia was awarded recognition in the ‘Disruptor’ category, defined by the NRF as “true originals – who make you rethink what you thought you knew about retail, opening you up to new possibilities for your customers, your business and your world.”
