EDITED x Zilingo: The future of your apparel business | EDITED

The fashion industry is one of the biggest polluters in the world creating about 53 million tons of landfill waste a year. As consumers become more aware of their contributions to this, they are demanding retailers adapt to more sustainable business practices across sourcing, production, and manufacturing.

In a collaborative report, EDITED and Zilingo explores the state of sustainable fashion combining deep data insights from the EDITED Retail Decision platform and analysis of Zilingo’s network of fabric and manufacturing suppliers.

The EDITED Retail Decision Platform provided data on key trends and insights into the growth of sustainable apparel across the US, UK and Australia. For example, new arrivals of denim products described as ‘recycled’ has grown +720% in the US and +377% in the UK since 2017. While in Australia, a growth of +683% of denim products described as ‘recycled’ has been stocked since 2017.

To complement the data-rich analysis, discover a case study from one of Zilingo’s partner mills in Bangladesh, who are currently using more sustainable fabrics in their production. Additionally, the report provides valuable insights on how to start taking actionable steps to a better and more sustainable future for fashion.
