Y/Project x Jean Paul Gaultier Body Morph Dress

Debuting on the men’s Fall 2022 catwalk, the print was reprised from Jean Paul Gaultier’s 1996 Cyberbaba collection, causing a resurgence in naked dressing. Across nine third-party stockists, EDITED tracked 76% of styles as being sold out in menswear and 56% in womenswear. The print has been spotted on A$AP ROCKY recently.

UGG Classic Ultra Mini Boot

With 60+ options stocked in the US and UK in 2022, the boot spawned some of the hottest dupes and deals this year. Primark landed a £6 copycat, while UGG offered it below $100 in the US for Black Friday. Colorways stocked this year have produced a 41% (UK) and 54% (US) sell out rate. Classic chestnut is the top color, while bright orange, black and platform models have also sold out.

Motel Chute Trousers

After Hailey Bieber catapulted the 90s-inspired trousers to a new level of popularity, consumers clamored to get their hands on a pair. 88% of styles have sold out, most of which have been replenished. Most colors landed in the UK at £52, but have been frequently promoted at 25%-50% off. Black, silver and cobalt blue are 2022’s most popular colors.

UNIQLO Round Mini Shoulder Bag – #uniqlobag – 35.5m views

#uniqlobag – 35.5m views
Retailing for £14.90/$19.90, content creators couldn’t believe how much the bag could hold and the style’s initial four colorways quickly sold out in June. UNIQLO released seven new colorways for FW22, which are now out of stock in the UK. The retailer’s US site states that its black and cream versions will return in mid-January.

Dickies 874 Work Pants

Worn with a folded-over waistband, the workwear style is favored in a classic black colorway, though ASOS’ leopard print option also sold out overnight in June. For December, Dickies unveiled a collaboration with Gucci, including a studded pair of 874s, retailing for $6,590, which sold out within a few days.

Zara Pink Satin Slip Dress

Priced at $59.90/£46, the dress sold out on March 2nd and 4th in the US and UK, respectively – two weeks after it landed online. The style has since been released in lilac, green and white, as well as mini lengths, becoming a go-to for wedding season.

Most-Hyped Collaborations

Salehe Bembury x Crocs

Across 2022, eight colorways were released, including neon green, black and orange. EDITED tracked 12 third-party stockists landing 64 options this year, with 56% of styles selling out. Prices started at £60/$85. The designer has also launched collections with New Balance this year.

Gucci x HA HA HA

One could argue Gucci owned the collaborative space in 2022. The duo’s capsule, dubbed HA HA HA is something out of a 70s dream. Of the 180 items dropped in the US and UK, 35% are currently out of stock. Styles has donned several items on Instagram and during his Love On Tour performances, leading to the products’ sold out status.

Fendi x Versace

Dubbed Fendace, the collection launched in mid-May. Underpinned by a black and gold print, the range had more success in the UK, with a 26% replenishment rate and 18% sell out rate. In-demand items vanishing within days of the drop included vintage logo socks, a foulard cap, a logo T-shirt and a cut-out jumper.
