As the latest fashion week whizzed by in Milan in a blur of caffeine, mini-dramas and front-row sightings, we were hard at work analysing the social data that the event created. Our interactive charts plot the top designers, prints and styles from the SS12 shows based on the amount of buzz surrounding them online.

Topping the charts of most talked-about designers this week were Prada, whose supremely retro, car-inspired collection went down a storm. This may be a disappointment for Gucci, who fail to make the Top 10, despite the flamboyant staging and star-studded attendance of their Gucci Museo opening on Monday. The kind of old-school marketing involved in Frida Giannini’s elaborate affair just doesn’t cut the mustard online. On the whole, Milan Fashion Week wasn’t as well represented online as either London or New York. So Italian designers take note; a little Burberry foresight goes a long way.

And the best bit is that you can access the report right here.
